1 | | Sand all the wood and remove dust from surface using the tack cloth.

2 | | Spread out the old sheet or drop cloth and place the wood on it.

3 | | Stain half of the wood pieces with one color stain and half the pieces with the other color stain. Remove excess stain with paper towels. Allow to dry.

4 | | Spread out the dowel rods on old sheet or drop cloth.
|

5 | | Using a sweeping motion, spray-paint the dowels with multiple thin coats of paint. Allow to dry.

6 | | Lay out the wood blocks facedown on a clean dry surface.
|

7 | | Lay five vertical dowels on the back of the blocks at varied heights and affix with the brad nailer to the back of the wooden blocks.

8 | | Lay the four horizontal dowels at varied places on the back of the wood art.
|
|
9 | | Measure and cut the horizontal pieces to fit between the vertical dowels and affix with the brad nailer.
|
|
10 | | Hang on the wall with picture-hanging hooks and enjoy!
